Description Marcin K 2008-11-06 14:06:23 UTC
I have problem with display - i get artefacts (green and magneta squares) on the screen when I use binary nvidia drvier (x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers) on the amd64 (EM64T - intel core 2 quad Q6600) and nvidia geforce 8600gt.

I don't have this problem on xorg-x11 "nv" driver

sreenshot, emerge info and make.conf in attach.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install stable gentoo 2008.0 with newest stable xorg-x11
2. emerge -pv nvidia-kernel
3. eselect opengl set nvidia

Ad. nvidia-drivers - I try resolve my problem with last stable (173.14.09) and last unstable (177.80).
My graphic card will be OK - i was bought my gf8600gt 4 days ago.
Before I sync portage and update world all was OK. But I will install gentoo on another partition with older portage snapshot to check card. If this solve my problem portage's changelog will be contain answer...
