lmule 1.2.1 doesn't build for GTK2, please apply the patch I'll submit below

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Only use GTK2 and build wxWindows against GTK2
2.Build lmule 1.2.1

patch for "configure" to resolve gtk2 issue

Please add "epatch ${FILESDIR}/configure.diff" at the beginning of the
src_compile function and everything will work for gtk2.

scandium, do you want to try that out? if not, feel free to assign it to me, although it means it'll be a while till i get to try it out :/

well, in fact: no

My plan was to remove net-p2p/lmule compleltly from the tree anyway, because it is not supported and an obsolete project.
And because it's buggy and immature I don't think we should keep (or even support) it anymore.

btw: for those who don't know what I am talking about should read about the history of xmule on xmule.org and see lmule.sf.net for the statement that lmule is somewhat dead ;)
Comment 5 Kidion 2003-07-18 11:38:14 UTC
I wasn't aware of xmule, but quite aware of the fact that lmule is kinda buggy ;-)

At least efforts to contribute to xmule *will* be appreciated, the lmule is kinda closed "open source"...

For me, it's ok to fase out lmule from gentoo...

fine by me.

could you put it in p.mask first and then phase it out? thanks
Comment 7 Rainer Größlinger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-07-18 12:43:28 UTC
added to package.mask

will remove it later
