The amarok dev team has released the beta 4 for amarok. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge -avu amarok 2. 3. Expected Results: new package installed. Three issues came up 1. This package seems to require mysql. So I set the mysql flag and compiled it. 2. It also requires the "embedded" use flag in mysql. Is there a good way to check for that USE flag in the ebuild? 3. Last thing, Amarok seems to want mysql compiled with "-fPIC" This problem may need to be addressed upstream in amarok or mysql but I am not sure. See this page for the bleeding edge fix that I had to use. http://amarok.kde.org/forum/index.php?topic=15857.msg24187 Once installed it worked very nice.
Created attachment 170823 [details] ebuild to start off with, needs work. I just changed the file name, it needs work under the hood. See my coments below for some needed changes.
Oops summary missleading, it is actually Beta 3. I was looking at the 1.94 suffix on the filename.
Got a problem with my lovely musicplayer: -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- The following REQUIRED packages could NOT be located on your system. -- Please install them before continuing this software installation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- + mysqld: Embedded MySQL <http://www.mysql.com> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- CMake Error at /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/MacroLogFeature.cmake:93 (MESSAGE): Exiting: Missing Requirements Call Stack (most recent call first): CMakeLists.txt:119 (macro_display_feature_log)
Bad news we are not going to do it. We have it in kde-crazy overlay or in kde-testing. And until mysql is fixed this bug is closed.
