Description Nick Fisher 2003-07-15 17:55:28 UTC
The default emerged smtpd.conf (From postfix) is to "pwcheck_method:pam". I'm
fairly sure that the only way to really get sasl to auth against pam is to use
saslauthd. When I tryed to use pam as a pwcheck_method I got the following
syslog line:
[postfix/smtpd] warning: SASL authentication problem: unknown password verifier

If I'm wrong please let me know so I can stop using saslauthd.

Reproducible: Always
