suse 11 is using zlma compression for ther rpms

Please point out a Gentoo cat/pkg for which this eclass fails to run src_unpack due to the missing lzma support.

i am not aware of any rpm in gentoo with missing lzma.

my overlay uses suse 11 rpms for the novell-client (layman -a n4g) net-nds/novell-xtier-base
