Hi Again. I've come back to prefix after some hiatus. Things are looking in pretty good shape since I last looked! Good work! Unfortunately though, this bug is still outstanding. It has some very strange time-dependence issue, since I have hit this, then it went away, now I am hitting it again (over the course of a week). The documentation building phase is also excruciatingly slow - I assume it is fetching some documents from the web as it goes. I'm not really sure how to proceed to fix this. I've hit it whilst trying to build several gnome things, in particular gedit and gnome-terminal.
I ran into this problem which it also seems was related to upgrading libxslt. Recompiling suggested gnome-doc-utils and docbook-xsl-stylesheet didn't help but recompiling rarian, gtk-doc-am and libxcb which all depended on libxslt fixed the problem. So try an equery depends libxslt and recompile some of those until gnome-terminal compile works.
I rebuilt all of libxslt's dependancies with > equery depends libxslt | awk '{ print "="$1 }' | xargs emerge -1v --jobs 4 and the issue persists. It also seems to very occasionally function correctly, somehow, but the majority of the time, if I try to build any gnome application which also builds documentation, it fails. I'm willing to put in a bit of effort to solve this - please let me know who I should go and contact if the resources aren't here to follow this up.
I've long since stopped using prefix (possibly because of this bug?) so I have no idea if this is still an issue anymore. It seems unlikely (especially since we're now at libxslt-1.1.28 and gnome-applets-2.32.1.1, so I'm marking this resolved.
