Description Kobboi 2008-11-03 13:09:12 UTC
I'm using binary packages to setup my system. One of the packages I want is eclipse-sdk-3.2.1-r3. But during the emerge the following happens:

Indeed, there is no package installed to fulfill =virtual/jdk-1.4*, although it is present in the DEPEND variable in the ebuild. Shouldn't =dev-java/sun-jdk-1.4.2.18 be installed then before emerge eclipse-sdk is attempted?

Workaround: If I emerge -g sun-jdk-1.4 manually first, I can emerge -g eclipse-sdk without any problem. But I don't want manual intervention :-)

skip Java 1.4 check when emerging a binary package

This is the patch I'm using. Dunno if it's the right way to go about it, but it works for me.

Closing this (3.2 not supported anymore).
