Description Torsten Kaiser 2008-11-02 11:18:38 UTC
Because the binfilter useflag has been removed I can no longer open my old *.sdw documents. And downgrading openoffice is also not really an option: Bug #244995

The support was removed with this comment in the Changelog:

> [snip] Disable binfilter stuff for now, no source package available
> atm [...]

The source for the binfilter stuff is (now?) part of ooo300-m9-filters.tar.bz2 ,so it is available again.

In the openoffice issue tracker I found an open bug about parallel building of these filters: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91871
So it might be needed to disable this if the binfilter useflag is set.

Just changing "--disable-binfilter" to "--enable-binfilter" gave me an office that loaded these filetypes again.

Emerging it worked on two systems. One ~amd64 system with gcc-4.2 and -j5 and another amd64 system with gcc-4.3 (for -march=core2) and -j2. So for me building the binfilters in parallel did work.

I've readded the binfilter use-flag now, thanks for reporting!
