osprey.gentoo.org (presently the master distfiles and Portage tree generation box) is down a drive in the RAID array.

Short term we need a replacement hard drive, but long-term something more serious is needed for such an important system role. (We're also getting quite full on that box). 

Osprey is located at OSUOSL, and I think it's actually owned by Gentoo (vs. a sponsor). Lance is checking on the ownership issue.

How urgent is this?  Do you need the disk immediately, or can it wait until our Trustee meeting on 16 Nov?

I'd prefer it sooner rather than later, given the critical nature of osprey.

Trustees approved this in their meeting. How best to carry it out? Tsunam seemed to go on about a problem in getting money out of Paypal at the moment. Should I just make arrangements as best as possible on my own, and see about being repaid later?

The replacement disk is now installed in osprey.
OSL ticket is marked for closing.
