Description Shevek 2003-07-14 04:43:13 UTC
Access violation summary...

chmod: /dev/console

I suspect this is configure trying to work out whether consoles etc are world
read/write or not.

The solution is presumably to build outside the sandbox, but this is a bit
messy, things really should install by default.

Wrong assignment. Punting back to bug-wranglers.
Comment 2 Aron Griffis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-07-14 18:42:49 UTC
Try doing "emerge sync" and remerging vim. I just committed a change to the eclass that should fix this, though I need you to verify since I can't reproduce it.

Unfortunately I was working on a customer machine, and I can't really go back to it. I will keep an eye out for it in the future. At the time I just built outside the sandbox for one build.

Thankyou.

Okay, I'm closing this on the assumption that the eclass change will solve the problem. Re-open in the future if you come across it again.
