Description brot 2008-10-26 11:50:30 UTC
Intel released the 2.5.0 version of their graphics drivers on the 20.10.08, see: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Njc5Nw ;)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. ls /usr/portage/x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel
2. see that there is no xf86-video-intel-2.5.0.ebuild
3. :(

Actual Results:
I waited some days and filed this bug.

There is 2.4.98 available in package.mask. The changes to 2.5.0 on top of that are minimal and quite insignificant. I will bump to 2.5.0 soon with maintainers permission, or the maintainer will do that tomorrow when at his intel graphics machine. But as I understand it, it will stay package.masked for a bit?
Comment 2 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-27 10:36:53 UTC
Done with a bunch of patches. Sorry for the wait, but as Mart said, 2.5.0 is hardly different from 2.4.98.0. :)

I put it as ~ without p.mask... let's see what happens.

Thanks

:) Thanks for adding the ebuild, i think nothing bad will happen even without the package.mask entry.
