Description Oliver Borm 2008-10-22 19:42:00 UTC
Is it possible to add the pyste USE-flag to dev-libs/boost-1.35?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Mike Auty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-23 09:48:32 UTC
The ChangeLog only has this to say:

  05 Jun 2008; Tiziano Müller <dev-zero@gentoo.org> -boost-1.35.0.ebuild,
  +boost-1.35.0-r1.ebuild:
Removed pyste and added expat, mpi USE-flags. Reworked the way we call the
build system. Updated patchset to work around expat and mpi build
  problems.

So it's not clear whether pyste was removed for a reason or not. Setting this to enhancement under the assumption pyste was removed for a reason...
Comment 2 Tiziano Müller (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-23 12:58:32 UTC
Possible: probably.
But pyste was/is broken in many ways, so unless there's a serious reason I won't do the work.
Comment 3 Oliver Borm 2008-10-23 14:04:14 UTC
I have some python bindings, which depends on pyste. And till I haven't rewrite them to another parser, I want to have pyste installed on my system.

pyste stand alone ebuild for boost 1.35.0

You can install pyste using it
Comment 5 Sebastian Luther (few) 2009-11-24 16:15:56 UTC
Now one of the dependencies of boost[pyste] has been masked. Closing as WONTFIX then.
