Description David Grant 2003-07-11 07:45:10 UTC
Please fix this ASAP. Or remove the ggz-0.0.7 ebuild from portage until vapier
fixes the problem.

root@sidicpc21 / # emerge -up world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies \
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=dev-libs/libggz-0.0.7" have been masked.
!!! (dependency required by "dev-libs/ggz-client-libs-0.0.7" [ebuild])

!!! Problem with ebuild app-games/ggz-gtk-games-0.0.7
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.

Sorry, I shouldn't have blamed anyone. I thought this was related to bug 24253. But it seems to be affecting all of portage. I no longer have any ggz ebuilds installed, yet I get this message when I do emerge -up world?

Spanky, if making an untested ebuild ARCH instead of ~ARCH which does not compile against current stable libgcrypt (on which the untested "stable" libggz depends) and then deleting the old versions from the repository is not breaking, I really wonder what your definition of breaking is. Please clean this up and bring back 0.0.5 - or make libgcrypt stable and _announce changes to stable packages on -core as you ought to_. Thanks.
