To get mplayer to compile on x86-solaris the first line of the configure script has to be changend from #! /bin/sh to #! /bin/bash

does exporting CONFIG_SHELL=${EPREFIX}/bin/bash from the ebuild work?

I'm do not know a lot about ebuilds. Where in the ebuild should that stand? I put it in the beginning of src_compile but then the error in the configure-script appeared again

just put it right before the econf invocation

econf is not used. There is just a long string for calling configure directly created.
