Emerging epiphany 2.22.3 (other versions too i think) with the python flag set needs the libxml2 (with python flag set) to work, else it wont compile complaing it can't import module libxml2. Although libxml2 isn't seen by the ebuild as an dependancy. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. remove libxml2 if you have installed it 2. emerge www-client/epiphany-2.22.3 (with python flag) Actual Results: epihpany won't compile, giving an compile error that it can't load module libxml2. Expected Results: The ebuild should have libxml2 added as a dependancy.
your description of the problem is wrong. epiphany needs libxml2 no matter if python is enabled or not and this is correctly stated in RDEPEND. Closing invalid. Please reopen if you mean something else.
