phpldapadmin uses the hash extension to generate Samba3 passwords, however the ebuild doesn't check for this functionality nor warn that the functionality might be required.

Line 20 of the ebuild says:

         require_php_with_use hash ldap pcre session xml nls

Looks okay to me.
