My invocation of `portageq envvar USE` gives me way more information than I want to see because it dumps USE Expand variables into the output. It would be nice if this utility would obey the USE_EXPAND_HIDDEN setting.. Reproducible: Always
USE_EXPAND_HIDDEN is only intended as a way for user interfaces to hide flags from being displayed. So, the flags still exist, but they are hidden from view. Perhaps `portageq envvar USE` isn't appropriate for you particular use case. What are you using it for?
Does `USE_EXPAND="-*" portageq envvar USE` do what you're looking for, or does that strip too much?
`USE_EXPAND="-*" portageq envvar USE` is perfect! Willing to close as INVALID, WONTFIX, WORKSFORME, whatever.. Thanks Marius! :-)
(In reply to comment #3) > `USE_EXPAND="-*" portageq envvar USE` is perfect! Willing to close as INVALID, > WONTFIX, WORKSFORME, whatever.. Good, closing as WONTFIX.
