Description Ishan Arora 2008-10-13 19:10:12 UTC
Cinelerra 4.0 has arrived. The name got copied & the version number changed, so they're on to version 4.0
I think the unofficial version should be renamed to something like cinelerra-cv.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the report, assigning to maintainers.

There are two versions. media-video/cinelerra is currently the community version:
http://cinelerra.org/

The version referred to in this bug is the official version. From what I've read online, most people would probably prefer the community version.

It's worth noting that the current ebuild is out of date. It's built from subversion sources, and they've moved over to git.

Experimental ebuild

Ebuild for the bold user; official (non-cv) Cinelerra-4.1 package.

General remarks:
o This needs a lot of testing, for I have not enough time.
o This ebuild does not use the system versions of libraries, but the ones that are bundled with Cinelerra. The latter surely have old bugs and even security risks.
o Nobody will be held responsible for data loss if you use this ebuild in a production environment.

TODO:
o Tweak the makefiles for cinelerra to use system libraries
o Establish version limits for these libraries in DEPEND
o Create an ebuild for the git version of cinelerra-cv

include media-libs/libmp4v2

Correct inclusion path for media-libs/libmp4v2.
