Description J.C. Wren 2008-10-13 13:47:10 UTC
The kopete build crashes early on when compiling with -j7 and distcc, or -j5 and distcc disabled. I don't see an indication of what the actual error is, only that make has exited with error 2. The attached build logs are for -j7 and distcc.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge kopete
2.
3.

No problems concerning compilation on my machine (amd64) with -j3. I don't use distcc but I'm using ccache. Try to don't use distcc and try to set -j2 in your make.conf.
Comment 4 J.C. Wren 2008-10-13 15:02:06 UTC
As I mentioned, I've tried it with distcc disabled and -j5. I'm running a Q9300 quad core, so -j5 is appropriate.
Comment 5 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-13 17:51:04 UTC
For me it looks more like your distcc is broken. Because i have here -j40 (lots and lots of pcs) and it works just fine. Tried on 3 machines only but i guess it is fair testing.
Reopen if you think it is really -j issue.
