A new version of (stable package) lin-seti is out. Changelog: - Fixed a bug that made lin-seti segfault because of missing checks when reading files from disk, thanks to Jing Tuo <mopa@163.net> - Fixed a bug in cache enlargement: directories created had wrong permissions, thus preventing non-root users that installed lin-seti to access them, thanks to Matt Barras <hey0joe@yahoo.com> There is no need to change the existing ebuild. Old one with a new name works perfectly. Maybe it is also the case to purge all ebuild of lin-seti older than version 0.7.3. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
great, i bumped the ebuild and cleaned out the old ones. tell me if it's safe to close this bug.
Unfortunately it is not! I just discovered that this version introduces a nasty bug that makes lin-seti segfault under certain (common) circumstances. A pity it never happened to me while I was testing this release. Anyway, it is all my fault. I'm putting together a quick bugfix release that should be ready later this evening. In the mean while lin-seti 0.7.4 should be masked. I'll let you know as soon as version 0.7.5 is released. Thank you, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
no problem, i masked it.
OK... Just released bugfix version 0.7.5. This time it works. Ebuild is same, no changes needed other than its name. Again, I'm sorry... one thing is a bug in a software, another is it being merged as stable into portage. Thank you.
Great! So i bumped it to 0.7.5 Closing this bug now.
