Can not boot my test system using gentoo-sparc-64 1.4-rc4-2 livecd. It hangs quickly after boot started. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. OK boot cdrom . . . 2. boot: gentoo Loading initial ramdisk... Remapping the kernel ... done. Booting Linux... UGH: property for SUNW,lomv was 24, need < 1 Actual Results: System hang Expected Results: boot linux The system is an Ultra-60 like with a Sun LOM card (remote control card). OBP is 2.5.0
Could you provide more hardware details? The 1.4-rc2 boots fine on my Sun U60.
Can you test the newest experimental LiveCD called gentoo-sparc64-1.4_rc4-11Aug2003.iso.bz2 (on the mirrors under experimental/sparc/livecd/sparc64) and see if this problem still happens?
