... also seeing this on mythtv-0.21_p18501! I have 0.21_p17722 installed, and have yet to check "mythtv-0.21_p18116" for this error. Just checked my installed version, and emerging does show configure is marked executable. This definitely looks like either a packaging and/or ebuild error.
Roger, please report upstream; Gentoo can fix it, but getting it fixed upstream for next release would be better.
To me, this looks like a long outstanding bug as all three of the following listed packaged mythtv tarballs distribute this: 0.21_p18116 0.21_p18314 0.21_p18501 I don't think this was done per oversite of the MythTV developers. However, if it was, and I'm wrong, aren't there any others here already subscribed to the mythtv mailing list? ... if it's not posted here w/i the next week, I'll subscribe and push the bug upstream for feedback... but it's way quicker for someone else that is already subscribed!!! I just find it's really odd nobody caught this way sooner and that it was done intentionally!
ok. duh. my bag again. (as usual) emerge grabs from: repository: http://svn.mythtv.org/svn/branches/release-0-21-fixes/mythplugins@18355 Just posted a quick irc message to the #mythtv (developers) channel on freenode. Since it's an svn commit thang, might get to the people making the recent commits faster then filing a bug upstream ... as it is an svn issue.
Ok. They fixed mythtv ./configure execute bits on the SVN server. Just mytharchive is still a-x. I'm marking this as resolved/upstream as Gentoo isn't currently responsible for ./configure execute bits. :-)
