Plugin osdteletext works nicely under vdr-1.6.0 but only when TTXT does not contain non-ASCII characters or if it is FTA channel. An attempt to read teletext on non-FTA non-ASCII channel ends up with the segfault of whole vdr, just a few seconds after it displays 'Page 100:0 not found'. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try start ttxt on CT1, CT2 or Prima (CS-Link 23.5); the vdr is killed immediately by segfault after the starting message 2.Try start ttxt on CT24 (CS-Link 23.5) - everything works 3.Ditto for example RTL4, RTL8 (19.2) - these work, SAT-1A also, but CT1, CT2 at 19.2 (UPC) not Actual Results: vdr killed by segfault Expected Results: It should work..., similarly as like as Bastlir's tarball from www.cssf.cz The solution is already known and available on the net. I prepared modified ebuild for vdr-osdteletext and patch, which can solve the problem.
Created attachment 167742 [details, diff] patch for correction of non-ASCII characters in teletext
Created attachment 167744 [details] the appropriate ebuild (modification of the official one)
Im added on 06 Jan 2009 a version bump to vdr-osdteletext-0.7.0 to the tree. Plugin has removed the old i18n support, means it is only ready for >=vdr-1.5.8 with utf8 support. Plz, can you check/test the newest version and report plz if still the problem in the latest version. Thanks
