from the ebuild:

    doicon ${PN} "$S/development/Win32/packaging/icons/lyx_32x32.png"
    make_desktop_entry ${PN} "LyX" "/usr/share/pixmaps/lyx_32x32.png" "Office"

Please use the one that is installed as /usr/share/lyx/images/lyx.png (which is already used as icon for the main window) instead of that horrible one.

whats wrong with that icon? its official lyx mascot normally used for desktop icon.

please reopen if you have a more serious reason than not liking the style of the icon :)
