I have just installed a new build of Gentoo 1.4_rc4 with gs-sources kernel have
enabled AGP/NForce in the Kernel have completed build emerged xfree only at
moment  the entry in /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status shows disabled.

There appears to be major problems getting this to work with my Epox Board 8RDA+
m otherboard and I susepect there is a problem with the nforce module

That isn't very verbose; nor could anyone do any debugging with that. Some "dmesg" output would help. To track whether this is a gs-sources bug; please try using another kernel flavour and report the results...

please attach your .config, any relevant dmesg info, output of lspci -v.
use the 'Create a New Attachment' function to post this info.
also, please test versus one of the following kernels:
gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r5 or pfeifer-sources-2.4.21_pre2
