while trying to emerge  dev-python/PyQt4-4.4.2 got 



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -av =dev-python/PyQt4-4.4.2
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
configure failed> compilation failed

Expected Results:  
succesful compilation

This bug also occurs in PyQt-4.3.3.

Try with dev-python/sip-4.7.6.
I had similar problem and it worked ok after downgrading dev-python/sip to 4.7.6.

Confirmed! The downgrade also solved my problem, thank you 
PyQt4-4.4.2 with sip-4.7.6

Just reinstall. :) You don't need to downgrade.
