With version <=gimp-2.4.5, poppler needs to have the cairo use flag enabled for gimp to compile with pdf use flag. In gimp-2.4.6, this is fixed. I propose that we mark gimp-2.4.6 stable to avoid this pitfall, unless you have any objections, in which case, gimp-2.4.2 could get a built_with_use check grafted on. Arch list for stabilization: alpha@gentoo.org,amd64@gentoo.org,hppa@gentoo.org,ia64@gentoo.org,ppc64@gentoo.org,ppc@gentoo.org,sparc@gentoo.org,x86@gentoo.org
I'm fine with stabilizing 2.4.7.
In addition, gimp-2.4.2 (stable version) is misunsing use flags. dbus is used for hal and jpeg for exif. It has been corrected with 2.4.5.
2.4.7 has two open bugs: bug #230758 and bug #238096.
@hanno: Which version will it be? The Summary says 2.4.6 and your comment says 2.4.7. :)
Go with 2.4.6, that was just a typo in the comment above.
(In reply to comment #5) > Go with 2.4.6, that was just a typo in the comment above. Thanks. Stable for HPPA.
