What version of firefox do you have installed?
Comment 2 Oliver R 2008-10-31 20:54:39 UTC
I am having the same problems. I have mozilla-firefox-3.0.3 installed. Installing mplayerplug-in with firefox use flag, tries to pull in mozilla-firefox 2.0.0.17, which I don't want. Installing without, runns into the above problem. Anny ideas ? Thanks in advance...

Yep, don't mix stable and unstable. :( mplayerplug-in-3.55 should work fine with 3.0.3. Please reopen the bug (or comment again if you can't) if you're still having problems.

I just checked again, and I had a typo in packages.keywords that prevented the use of unstable mplayerplug-in-3.55 ;)

Thanks so much for the hint...:)

firefox 3.0.8 is stable, and the latest stable mplayerplug-in is still 3.50. But i've got the same error while trying to emerge mplayerplug-in-3.50 with firefox 3.55. Building mplayerplug-in-3.55 works fine.
