There is some typo in default exim config file. After fresh install exim fail to start with error: exim[2252]: [1\2] 2008-10-04 20:31:12 Exim configuration error in line 619 of /etc/exim/exim.conf: exim[2252]: [2/2] option "m" unknown I found that exim-4.69-r1.27021.patch add this "m". After removing that "m" from config file exim starts normally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge exim with USEflags "ipv6 logrotate pam perl ssl syslog tcpd" 2. cp /etc/exim/exim.conf.dist /etc/exim/exim.conf 3. /etc/init.d/exim start Actual Results: ERROR: exim failed to start Expected Results: exim starts
will be fixed with exim-4.69-r3
Reassign to net-mail herd as peitolm retires
Thanks, I suppose everyone has fixed this by now, so bumping for this sort of needlessly lets everyone recompile. I removed the bad hunk from the patch.
