the problem seems to be the double slashes in the paths next to "etc" /var/tmp/portage/app-cdr/mybashburn-1.0.2/image//etc I removed the the slash in the "prefix" variable of the Makefile. Now it works for me.
commited a fix for it. It should work fine now. Thanks for the report.
