I'm wondering how to fix this in the best way. I'd be happy to just depend on xulrunner and not use a USE flag for this at all.

Alternatively we could add xulrunner, firefox, seamonkey USE flags and pick the first selected one. However, the software as it currently is will still work down through a predefined list starting with xulrunner, meaning that if you have xulrunner installed, but -xulrunner in USE, it will still compile against xulrunner. We could patch that list (in fact, we already do for seamonkey), but I'm wondering if it is worth the effort.

Any thoughts?
Comment 2 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-06 15:21:11 UTC
If it builds against 1.9 (that is, IIRC, the one that both Firefox and Seamonkey now build against), then drop everything but xulrunner and live with that, I'd say.
Comment 3 Hans de Graaff gentoo-dev Security 2008-10-14 12:46:37 UTC
This version of ruby-gtkmozembed only supports xulrunner 1.8. I've added dependencies for xulrunner, firefox, and seamonkey and USE flags to trigger them.

Fixed in CVS.
