The ebuild for sci-libs/libecwj2-3.3 doesn't have ~amd64 in the KEYWORDS list when it should.  The KEYWORDS variable should be amended as follows:

KEYWORDS="~x86 ~amd64"

Jeroen: Yes, it does work.  I've been using it in conjunction with sci-libs/gdal to read JPEG2K encoded NITF images.  It works flawlessly.
