Description Raul E Rangel 2008-09-30 14:53:39 UTC
I unmasked libpq-8.1.x and postgresql-8.1.x and now when I try and update world it try's to pull in multiple versions of libpq.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Edit /etc/portage/package.keywords
<dev-db/postgresql-8.2 ~x86
<dev-db/libpq-8.2 ~x86

2) $ emerge -qvuDN world
Actual Results:
!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been
!!! pulled into the dependency graph:

dev-db/libpq:4

('installed', '/', 'dev-db/libpq-8.1.11', 'nomerge') pulled in by
    ('installed', '/', 'dev-db/postgresql-8.1.11', 'nomerge')

('ebuild', '/', 'dev-db/libpq-8.0.15', 'merge') pulled in by
    ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-lang/php-5.2.6-r7', 'merge')
    ('installed', '/', 'x11-libs/qt-3.3.8-r4', 'nomerge')
    ('installed', '/', 'net-ftp/proftpd-1.3.1_rc2-r3', 'nomerge')
    (and 3 more)

Expected Results:
Emerge outdated packages

Yes, that's why it's masked... Consider it a Portage feature that it tells you what to do about it - unmask everything else or put the mask back. :)
