When I emerged xine* and tried to play a DVD i got an error due to a missing dvd
link in /dev.
I did a ln -s /dev/cdrom /dev/dvd and it worked after that.

It's not a big problem, but for unexperienced users it's better if the ebuild
does  the whole thing.

nor should it.  please check /etc/devfsd.conf on how to make a persistent link.
