First of all, the configuration file that is provided by Portage is not formatted correctly and will lead to the neglecting of AxKit by Apache; in short: Apache is not using AxKit with the current default configuration file. The only changes that need to be made are that the top and bottom Location directives need to be removed. Also, Apache is not sourcing the file "httpd.axkit" on startup. In order to get the file "sourced," I just moved the stuff from httpd.axkit into the apache.conf itself (cat httpd.axkit >> conf/apache.conf). Maybe an IfDefine AXKIT needs to be added on install so that it's modular? Feed back is appreciated, the new httpd.axkit is attached. Thanks.
Created attachment 14139 [details] the new httpd.axkit I didn't put it in patch form since I am only removing two lines. =)
It should probably be masked now, since we've moved to apache2 and the ebuild doesn't handle this well.
Robert, can you check the status of this one?
Re-assign a really stale bug.
OK, this bug got lost in rac's stack and has made it way back into the perl queue. Before cracking open axkit - is this bug still active/relevant?
Mass re-assign.
Well, this thing should use apache-module eclass.
Removed from the tree together with the rest of apache-1 stuff. WONTFIX.
