please try with r3
(In reply to comment #1) > please try with r3 > OK, tried with r3, and now I have made 6 successfull reboots, so I think we could say this version is working. Thanks!
(In reply to comment #1) > please try with r3 > Ok, I will have to take that last comment back. The problems showed up again, but this time I realised that HAL only fails when I boot on battery power. When I boot on AC-power, HAL starts up nicely. /Johan
Could you try this on sys-apps/hal-0.5.11-r6 please?
(In reply to comment #4) > Could you try this on sys-apps/hal-0.5.11-r6 please? That version isnt't in portage yet (~x86). The highest version is r4, I can test that one...
0.5.11-r8 is in the tree now, please test with that.
(In reply to comment #6) > 0.5.11-r8 is in the tree now, please test with that. > Sorry, I forgot to sync before checking the latest version in portage... Ok, with r8 I don't get the reported error messages. It seems like hald isn't shut down. I'm now having problems starting x on battery power though, so I can't test that everything works yet (I don't think the problem starting x has to so with hal). Anyway, I think we can mark this bug as resolved now. Thanks /Johan
