Whaaw! Media Player is a pygtk and gstreamer-based audio/video player. It is lightweight, with very few deps, mostly wrapped up in the gstreamer codecs desired for playback.

Tested and works perfectly on amd64 and x86. I've also been in contact with upstream to see about adding additional functionality, such as CD playback. In theory, since it supports gstreamer, it should be able to play anything gstreamer does. Eventually.

I want to proxy-maintain this package, just as I do for decibel-audio-player. And I'm working on getting ebuild commit access, so maybe someday I can handle it directly.
