Created attachment 166225 [details] edited patch file for workaround to use this file copy it to layman portage tree in section "files" of package icedtea. changed Manifest file is also needed for successful emerge
Created attachment 166228 [details] changed Manifest file that works with edited patch file for workaround belongs to the edited patch file. contains original list of files with chechsum and size of the pach changed accordingly
i noticed that first line of the file enable_fix-1.2.patch is: --- /home/andrew/projects/openjdk/icedtea6/configure.ac 2008-05-30 00:34:34.000000000 +0100 after removing the reference to the home directory and copying first line from file enable_fix-1.1.patch and editing Manifest file emerge was successful. 64bit java plugin for firefox3 also seems to work. edited files that are attached above are from overlay portage tree and can be used as temprairly workaround. since i realy have absolutely no clue what i actualy did i'm leaving status as NEW
Fixed in SVN by Andrew. Thanks.
I came up with the same fix independently. It seems that epatch doesn't like the left-hand side of the patch, although patch itself does. Strange change in behaviour which I also noticed in kde builds last night.
