When I try to start cream either via the "cream <filename>" from console or from KDE menu with the cream icon, gvim opens and shows following two errors: Error detected while processing function Cream_singleserver: line 131: E241: Unable to send to CREAM Press ENTER or type command to continue Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install app-vim/cream-0.41 2. start cream using "cream <filename>" or the cream KDE menu icon 3. see error Actual Results: I had a non-official cream-0.39 installed which worked. Expected Results: start gvim with cream extension Before version 0.41 came out I had an unofficial cream-0.36 and cream-0.39 installed which worked, I don't know if there are any leftovers anywhere installed but I don't think so. I already delete my .cream directory in my user directory but it didn't help.
@vim: Please fix metadata.xml - bugsy doesn't want to eat Thomas de Grenier de Latour's e-mail address.
From http://www.mail-archive.com/cream-general@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00238.html: <quote> > If I try to start cream with any > servername other than CREAM, I get these errors: > > Error detected while processing function Cream_singleserver: > line 129: > E241: Unable to send to CREAM Multiple sessions were eliminated in the previous versions -- -- <quote ends> So it seems that vim's servername argument should be set to CREAM, and adding --servername CREAM to /usr/bin/cream wrapper indeed fixes this.
Created attachment 166173 [details, diff] Add --servername to /usr/bin/cream
cream-0.41-r1 fixes this. Thanks for reporting.
