this can be fixed simply adding the flag --disallow-exit to PA_OPTS in /etc/conf.d/pulseaudio maybe there should be a pulseaudio guide somewhere in the gentoo docs explaining the user how to run pulseaudio system-wide or user-wide. Pulseaudio team suggests the user way, as most of the distro including pulse does. Gentoo should explain user how to choose. IMHO.
