When I booted from the "Gentoo 2008.0 LiveCD" with the default boot options, and tried to install the system I discovered that my ide drive was discovered as a sata drive instead. Im using a first generation pentium4 and I have two ide drives on it. harddrive "Maxtor 6y120p0" (~115GB Primary master) CD drive (Secundary slave)
This constitutes the status quo of a modern Linux kernel. Please state how this revelation is an actual bug.
