Oh sorry didnt see that. Why do you run autogen.sh and remove CVS dirs from the ebuild when you could do it before making the tarball?? Does gnomevfs and canvas-gnomecanvas not compile?
i do autogen because the ebuild originally was a live cvs ebuild ... it could easily be changed back to be a live cvs ebuild (if someone wanted to) so i leave it that way ... same for the CVS ... i also package the entire dr17 tree so its a lot easier to tar up a dir than to go in and make sure that i did configure and pruned the CVS before i package it ... etc,etc,etc ... and nope, i couldnt get gnomevfs and canvas-gnomecanvas to compile

yeah probably ... i tagged them all the way raster tagged DR17 ... which is to say he pretty much said 'software is as-is, have fun' :) is evidence GPL-2 ?
