Description Joe Kallar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-29 16:07:02 UTC
When using Xeasyconf, and nvidia is selected, but the fbdev and nv drivers are
installed. This can cause problems. Only one driver should be installed, the
other could be installed, but commentted out.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.xeasyconf
2.select nvidia
3.

Actual Results:
Invalid arguement on starting X in >8 bpp.

Expected Results:
X should start
Comment 1 Mark Guertin 2003-09-16 09:14:15 UTC
This is actually an error in XFree86 -configure

Xeasyconf uses the output of this as a starting point, so with X spitting out both drivers it's
impossible to fix until Xfree doesn't do this (I'm the author of Xeasyconf btw).

Pieter: any other Xeasyconf bugs you can feel free to CC me on at
guertin@brucemaudesign.com

thanks

As discussed on the last ppc meeting, we are going to start using Xautocfg when no maintainer presents himself.

closing this bug :-)
