Description Alejandro Diaz Caro 2008-09-09 17:29:28 UTC
I have a HP Pavilion dv2745se. The touchpad works properly, however, every time I press the button to enable it, I get an error viewable through dmesg:

This when enabled:
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xd9 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known.
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xd9 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known.

And this when disable:
atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xd8 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e058 <keycode>' to make it known.
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xd8 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e058 <keycode>' to make it known.

It's not a big deal, because the touchpad works without problem, but it still looks like a bug.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable or Disable the touchpad
2. Run dmesg

Actual Results:
An error is loged on dmesg

Expected Results:
No error at all

Here is my emerge --info:

Sorry, I found how to solve it: I have to use:
setkeycodes e048 144
setkeycodes e049 143
(I am not sure if e048 should be 144 and e049 143 or inversely, but the message is gone)
