Description Christopher Smith 2008-09-08 13:51:03 UTC
After an upgrade to Gnome 2.22. all of my 32-bit GTK applications will not properly theme. The error message I get in the console looks like this:

/usr/share/themes/Darklooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:68: error: unexpected identifier `reliefstyle', expected character `}'

It seems to be a problem with emul-linux-x86-gtklibs. The applications still work they just don't get themed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to stable Gnome 2.22
2. Install 32-bit application
3. Launch 32-bit application

Actual Results:
No theming

Expected Results:
Proper theming

I tried using the masked version of emul-linux-x86-gtklibs but it breaks everything completely instead of just the theming.

please don't assign bugs by yourself if you don't know where they should be assigned.

Is this still a problem with 2.24 or 2.26 ?

20081109 and 20091004_rc1 of emul- gtklibs was also released since opening of this bug...

please reopen if this is still a problem for you with up-to-date system.
Comment 6 Arnaud Launay 2009-10-23 11:26:42 UTC
An up-to-date system doesn't include masked package, right ?

So it's not resolved yet:

citron emul-linux-x86-gtklibs # grep KEYW *
emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-20071214.ebuild:KEYWORDS="-* amd64"
emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-20080316.ebuild:KEYWORDS="-* ~amd64"
emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-20080810.ebuild:KEYWORDS="-* ~amd64"
emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-20081109.ebuild:KEYWORDS="-* ~amd64"
emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-20091004_rc1.ebuild:KEYWORDS="-* ~amd64"

One of those should be stabilised...

Until 2009* emul packages are read, I would stabilize latest 2008* ones (bug 284863) they still have some issues but work far better than current stable)
