According to http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-synaptics/ X.Org synaptics driver is currently in version 0.15.1. It would be nice to have it in portage.

Wow, somebody is keeping close track of that synaptics driver; it is not even 24 hrs since that release was tagged.

Compilation & functionality test in progress. Dropped X.Org version patch as it was applied upstream, xinerama patch still applies and seems relevant.
