Slimserver is reporting that version 7.2 is available; release notes here http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/7.2_Release_Notes indicate that it's necessary to support new hardware, and here http://svn.slimdevices.com/7.2/trunk/server/Changelog7.html?view=co indicates that it includes a wide range of bug fixes.

We have you covered.  :)

Please unmerge slimserver and merge the new package: squeezecenter.  The name has changed since 7.x came out.

Also note that there are no stable ebuilds yet for squeezecenter, even though it works well.  You'll have to add it to your package.keywords (with ~x86) for now.
