It builds fine but "windowmenu" file is missing, so make install fails. I've looked at old version (1.0) and there is no file with that name. Is there any use flag I should turn on/off?

I think this is fixed in fluxbox-1.1.0-r1, just resync and try again

I saw lack (the maintainer) talking about this in irc, there was an issue but it was fixed quickly. You need to update your tree. 1.1.0.1 is even in the portage tree now.
