Assigning to tommy@ as he last touched the ebuild. I don't see a dependency problem though. Seems to me like the reporter forgot to run perl-clenaer.
You are right, I hadn't did perl-clenaer, but I did it now (perl-cleaner all) and the problem still there.
Did you try to reemerge the package after running perl cleaner? Also adding the original creater and the main maintainer to CC as i dont know much about this app.
I re-emerged all the dependences of checkgmail and now it is working. Thanks.
