I have been trying to get skey to work with this particular FTP daemon and no amount of fiddling seems to work. Looking at the source-code, there is an #ifdef SKEY in there, and there's no mention of -DSKEY in the Makefiles, so I'm thinking that the e-build needs to be tweaked and perhaps an skey USE flag added? At present the only USE flag appears to be ssl.

This daemon doesn't appear to use PAM.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge netkit-ftpd

Nothing will make the client use skey authentication, one has no choice but to use one's password, even over a clear (non-ssl) connection.

Actual Results:  
Simple authentication always when client attempts to connect.

Expected Results:  
S/key authentication when client attempts to connect.

When I say "as advertised" I mean the man page mentions that S/Key is supported, but of course without compiling and installing entirely by hand, it doesn't support S/Key.
